Whether you can claim free NHS treatment depends on why you're in UK and how long you've been here.
You may need to pay for part of your treatment but you may be entitled to claim benefits to help with these costs.
Refugees, asylum seekers and victims of modern slavery are entitled to free cancer care on the NHS.

Private cancer care in the UK is available to anyone who can afford it.
Talk to your doctor about whether private care in the UK is right for you. They can recommend a consultant and make a referral if you decide to go ahead.
Private cancer care can be very expensive and you should also consider daily living and accommodation costs when making a decision.
If you have previously been a UK resident, and decide to return to UK to live you will usually be entitled to free treatment from the date you return.
You’ll need to prove you’re intending to stay in the UK, and that you have a UK address.
You may need to show proof that you no longer have a permanent address overseas.
